The wait is almost over for fans curious about what really goes down behind the scenes at WWE. The company just sent Ringside News an official first look at its new docuseries WWE: Unreal, along with key details—including when it hits Netflix.
The docuseries will officially debut on July 29, 2025. It promises an unfiltered look inside the WWE writer’s room and outside the ring with top WWE Superstars, where the drama offstage matches the chaos under the spotlight. The show’s official description reads:
“For the first time ever, step into the WWE writer’s room and outside the ring with your favorite WWE Superstars, where the drama is just as intense offstage as it is under the spotlight.”
The series is directed by Chris Weaver, with Erik Powers serving as showrunner. On the producing side, this project brings some major names to the table, including Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ross Ketover, Keith Cossrow, Ken Rodgers, Jessica Boddy, Lee Fitting, Ben Houser, and Marc Pomarico. The production is handled by Omaha Productions, NFL Films, Skydance Sports, and WWE.
WWE: Unreal will feature five episodes, each running 50 minutes, offering more than four hours of exclusive footage from early 2025. That includes behind-the-scenes moments from the Royal Rumble and some of the first Monday Night RAW episodes after WWE’s blockbuster Netflix streaming deal kicked in.
The series follows the success of other Omaha Productions projects, including Stephanie’s Places on ESPN+, proving this team knows how to tell stories inside the world of sports entertainment.
What do you think—will WWE: Unreal finally show fans how the machine behind the madness really operates? Or is WWE just giving us what they want us to see? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
