WWE’s relationship with Peacock is officially winding down — but it ended with a public thank you on one of the company’s biggest stages.

During Clash in Paris, commentator Michael Cole took a moment on air to thank Peacock for its partnership, even naming NBC Sports president Rick Cordella directly. The message came as WWE prepares to move its premium live events in the U.S. from Peacock to ESPN this month, starting with Wrestlepalooza. Cordella responded on X, sending his own appreciation to WWE and its top executives.

“Thank you WWE, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, and Stephanie McMahon.”

The change comes earlier than expected. WWE and NBC originally signed a five-year deal in 2021 that gave Peacock the exclusive U.S. rights to the WWE Network, including all monthly premium live events. That agreement was set to run through March 2026, but both sides struck a deal to move PLEs early. In exchange, Peacock will keep Saturday Night’s Main Event exclusively and continue to stream NXT premium live events through March.

Cordella’s response reflects the strong working relationship between the two sides — even as WWE moves to ESPN for its next chapter in streaming.
