Natalya Reveals Wild “Total Divas” Storyline That Forced Her Into an Awkward Moment With Ronda Rousey’s Dog

While chatting with Stephanie McMahon on the What’s Your Story podcast, she explained how an innocent filming day with Ronda Rousey turned into a chaotic situation thanks to Rousey’s very enthusiastic dog. According to Natalya, the dog wouldn’t stop going after one specific area of her body during filming, and producers quickly decided the moment was “too good” not to exploit for television. She said it started out as harmless behavior, but things escalated fast once the cameras started rolling.

“Rhonda’s dog loved sniffing my crotch… it was getting to be a lot. And I don’t know if it’s because it was Rhonda’s dog. But the dog was very aggressive. And then the producers of Total Divas — aggressively sniffing, aggressively sniffing — they’re like, ‘We gotta make this into a storyline.’ And so next thing you know, I’ve got peanut butter on my crotch. The dog’s licking it. And I’m like, f**k, I don’t wanna have a dog licking my crotch on this show.”

Natalya said that even though she was horrified in the moment, she still went along with the segment because that’s what the show needed at the time. She joked that nobody sacrificed more for the series than she did.

“I will do whatever the f**k it takes. I’m a pro. I’m a pro. I carried that show on my back.”

Moments like this explain why Natalya became one of the most dependable personalities on Total Divas—always willing to lean into the chaos and make reality TV out of absolutely anything, even if it included a persistent dog and a tub of peanut butter.
