Matt Cardona and deathmatch legend Nick Gage had been involved in a feud for the past few months, with many fans believing Cardona didn’t have what it takes to face off against Nick Gage.
At GCW Homecoming Night 1, Matt Cardona challenged Nick Gage for the GCW World Championship. In a move that no one saw coming, Matt Cardona defeated Nick Gage for the GCW World Championship after an all-out war with the veteran.
The match certainty took its took on Matt Cardona and that was on full display as Cardona’s fiancée Chelsea Green took to Twitter and posted photos of Matt Cardona’s nasty wounds after his match.

Many fans are certainly shocked at Matt Cardona actually becoming the new champion but it is simply something they have to accept now. We will have to see how Cardona’s reign as the new GCW World Champion will be booked.
