The women’s division should proceed with caution.

SummerSlam Saturday brought a big night for fans, and many of them were shocked at the end of the night. One of the big moments included Tiffany Stratton toppling Jade Cargill to retain her title. On night two, it was the other brand’s turn.

Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky both wanted a shot at Naomi’s Women’s World Championship. So, they ended up booking a triple threat encounter at the biggest party of the summer. This saw The Glow defend her title with the odds against her in a big way.

This match had a big fight feel, thanks to the ring introductions from Alicia Taylor. Naomi also had her father help out with her entrance.

After they got going, IYO Sky was taken out of the ring. Then Naomi was able to take control over Rhea Ripley for a bit before the Genius of the Skies came back into the mix. Naomi remained with the upper hand, and then it was Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky’s turn to show off a bit after they took Naomi out of the match.

Fans started to chant “this is awesome” as the match carried on after Naomi got back into the ring. Ripley almost had a pin, but Naomi stopped her. Then it was a fight for control on the outside.

The match carried on, and Rhea Ripley took a moonsault from Naomi and then another from IYO Sky, but they couldn’t end the match. Ripley nailed a Rip Tide on Naomi, and then IYO broke up the pin. This match was one big move after another for a while without any ending.

Eventually, Rhea Ripley nailed a Riptide off the top rope on IYO Sky. Then Noami threw Rhea out of the ring and stole the pinfall to retain the title. She also used the tights to secure the pin.

We will keep a close eye on whatever happens next for WWE’s women’s division as they make their way past another SummerSlam. Only time will tell how things look this time next year, especially with the injection of young talent that fans have seen in recent memory.
