The final countdown is on for WWE NXT Battleground 2025, and Myles Borne is walking into the biggest moment of his career. Just hours before his match against NXT Champion Oba Femi, WWE dropped an emotional video featuring Borne as he reflected on his journey and what’s at stake. The company captioned the post with a bold statement: “Tonight, a star will be born.”
In the clip, Borne shared that he’s feeling the pressure, but he’s done everything in his power to prepare for this night.
“Man, I’m feeling, I’m feeling great. I’m overwhelmed with many different emotions, but I’m I’m locked in, I’m focused. There’s nothing more I can do to prepare. I’ve already done everything I can for this moment. So now I’m just embracing the calm before the storm. We’re going to put it all on the line tonight and we’re going to ride. So tonight, a star will be born.”
Borne earned his opportunity by surviving a 25-man battle royal on the May 6 episode of NXT. Since then, fans have been watching closely to see how he stacks up against “The Conqueror” Oba Femi, who has bulldozed through the competition. While Oba remains a dominant champion, Borne’s quiet determination has become impossible to ignore.
The WWE NXT Battleground card is stacked with championship matches and personal grudges, including Joe Hendry defending the TNA World Championship against Trick Williams, and Stephanie Vaquer putting the NXT Women’s Title on the line against Jordynne Grace.
The event streams live from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, with the pre-show kicking off at 7 PM ET and the main card starting at 8 PM ET on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
