The Battleground Premium Live Event saw Myles Borne challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship. Despite his best efforts, he failed to beat Femi for the title and he has now broken his silence after his loss.
Myles Borne took to his Instagram and broke his silence following his loss, stating that while he came up short at Battleground, he is still winning, as he said, “Came up short last night, BUT I’m still winning out here…”
The match got intense when Oba Femi almost hit a suplex on the ring apron, but Myles Borne stopped him with a dropkick. Borne tried to dive at him, but Oba blocked it with a forearm and took control.
Later on, Borne hit a big spike DDT and tried another dive, but Oba moved out of the way. Borne avoided Oba’s Fall From Grace and hit a German Suplex that sent Oba flying. He almost won with a frog splash from the top rope, but let Oba get back up. Borne also hit a dropkick, but Oba came back with an uppercut and another Fall From Grace for a two count. In the end, Oba Femi hit his finisher on Borne and won the match.
We will have to wait and see what’s next in store for Myles Borne as he definitely showed the world that he truly belongs in the main event scene and it’s clear he has been elevated to a whole different level thanks to his match with Oba Femi.
