There are many stories in the pro wrestling world that need to be told. MVP has seen a lot during his time in the business, and although it may be a hard R-Rated tale, there’s a chance we may hear it.

During a recent episode of Marking out, MVP addressed the possibility of turning his life story into a book or film. The topic came up when a fan named Mike from Louisiana asked if he had ever thought about writing a book or making a movie about his life.

“The short answer is yes. I have considered it many times, but I am one of the laziest, hardworking people you will ever meet. And I have not begun that manuscript because I don’t want a ghostwriter. I want to write it myself.”

MVP also noted that he has already discussed the idea with Batista, who has earned a ton of credit in Hollywood with his work on Dune, Guardians of the Galaxy, and so much more. Apparently, the two have talked about the potential of developing a film based on MVP’s life with Bautista’s production company involved.

“I’ve actually talked to my good friend Dave Bautista… we’ve talked about, with his production company, taking the steps to turn my life story into a movie.”

Although there are talks to make it happen, MVP made it clear that the story wouldn’t be suitable for all audiences.

“My life story is not PG, man. My life story is rated R… is there something higher than that? Rated X, I mean legit.”

Although the project is not currently in development, MVP confirmed that it remains something he wants to pursue. Whether as a book, a movie, or both, the idea is not off the table. We will have to see what the future holds, but this could be an incredible story.

MVP’s story in pro wrestling is notable. Not only has he held a ton of championships throughout the business, but he’s also managed some incredible talent. His in-ring career isn’t over, as AEW is his home now. That being said, his story may earn that “Rated X” label.

Only time will tell if we see MVP’s story portrayed on the silver screen. Pro wrestling films have been hit-or-miss in the box office in recent memory, but they are almost sure to get a cult following once the movie hits streaming services. The same may be true for MVP, but at least he seems confident that his story will be told.
