Multiple Matches Revealed for August 22 WWE SmackDown

Two new matches have officially been added to this week’s SmackDown. General manager Nick Aldis confirmed that Charlotte Flair will face Piper Niven in singles action on the August 22 episode.

Also announced for the show, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits will battle two members of the MFTs — either Talla Tonga, JC Matteo, or Tonga Loa.

WWE confirmed the additions on social media, writing that Charlotte Flair vs. Piper Niven and Street Profits vs. MFT will both take place Friday night.

Updated lineup for August 22 WWE SmackDown:

• Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. Melo Don’t Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz)
• Aleister Black vs. R-Truth
• John Cena to appear
• Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) vs. MFT (two of Talla Tonga, JC Matteo, and Tonga Loa)
• Charlotte Flair vs. Piper Niven

With John Cena returning to the show and multiple first-time matchups set, WWE fans are looking at a loaded SmackDown that could have major storyline implications moving forward.
