AEW’s partnership with CMLL continues to grow, and this weekend several AEW talents are heading to Mexico for their official debuts under the legendary lucha libre banner.
On October 25, Thekla, Skye Blue, Julia Hart, and Diamante will represent AEW at Arena Coliseo in Mexico City, marking the first time these stars step into a CMLL ring. The crossover event is part of the ongoing alliance between AEW and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, which has already produced title victories and international storylines.
The featured bout sees Thekla, Skye Blue, and Julia Hart team up as The Triangle of Madness to take on Zeuxis, La Jarochita, and Reyna Isis in what’s being billed as the Lucha Semifinal De Amazonas. It’s a high-profile trios match designed to spotlight the AEW newcomers in front of CMLL’s passionate fanbase.
Meanwhile, Diamante — best known for her work in Ring of Honor — is set for a four-way clash against Kira, Candela, and Shoko Nakajima, another major name familiar to fans of Japanese wrestling. All four women are expected to bring distinct international styles to the ring, adding even more intrigue to the bout.
This comes on the heels of Mercedes Moné successfully defending her CMLL World Women’s Championship against Persephone earlier this month, proving AEW stars are not just visitors—they’re making waves in CMLL’s women’s division.
With these four debuts, AEW continues to deepen its presence in the international wrestling scene while helping to elevate women’s wrestling across borders.
