Mr. Iguana became an overnight sensation thanks to his performance at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide and he’s made a couple of appearances after that as well. While fans continue to speculate when he will come back to WWE, his current return status has been revealed.
While speaking to Denise Salcedo, Mr. Iguana was asked when fans can expect to see him on WWE television again. Iguana said he’s currently focused on his work with AAA. He mentioned that he’s still working for AAA and they have several big events coming up, including Triplemanía in August, Verano de Escándalo, and Hall of TV tapings.
Mr. Iguana added that the new partnership forming between WWE and AAA, he said, things are getting very interesting with all the crossover matches.
“I’m just here focused on Triple A because I’m still working for Triple A. We have a Triplemanía coming in August, we have Verano de Escándalo coming, we have Hall of TV tapings coming, and with this new alliance forming with WWE and Triple A, it’s becoming very interesting—all the matches that are happening.”
Iguana noted how he was invited to attend the June 3rd NXT episode, sitting in the crowd alongside Psycho Clown and Wagner Jr., and that they were featured in a video with Shawn Michaels. While he’s open to any call from WWE, for now, his attention is fully on AAA and enjoying everything happening at the moment.
“So, I got invited to NXT to be in the crowd the following week along with Psycho Clown, Wagner Jr. We were there with Shawn Michaels’ video. So, we’re always open to the call from WWE—to call us to go or something. But meanwhile, we’re focused on Triple A. We’re focused on enjoying this, enjoying this moment for us.”
We have previously reported that Mr. Iguana is finalizing a deal with WWE, and that deal will include more appearances on WWE television for the AAA star. Therefore, we’ll have to see when Mr. Iguana will make his return to WWE television as it’s clear he will make a massive impact when he does come back.
