Moose is stepping away from the ring—for now. After dropping the TNA X-Division Championship to Leon Slater at Slammiversary 2025, the former world champion took to Instagram to share that he’s taking a break from competition.
Following the pay-per-view at UBS Arena in Long Island, Moose reflected on his TNA journey and praised his opponent while hinting at what’s next.
“I’ve accomplished almost everything here at TNA Wrestling. Leon Slater, I have the ultimate respect for you and the X-Division is now in your hands….. SHOW THEM HELL.”
He didn’t frame it as a farewell—but made it clear he’s hitting pause to regroup.
“For me it’s time to take a step back…. Get healthy and see what’s next… I’ll be back soon.”
Moose has been one of TNA’s top stars in recent years, capturing both the World and X-Division titles while helping lead The System faction. His absence opens up new questions about the direction of the group—and what Moose’s next move might be once he’s ready to return.
Is Moose lining up something big after this break, or could this be the beginning of a bigger transition? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know what you think.
