Monty Brown is stepping back into the spotlight during AEW All In week, as he makes one of his first official wrestling appearances in nearly two decades. The former TNA and WWE star has been confirmed for Starrcast, marking a rare and long-awaited return to the wrestling scene.

According to Fightful Select, the deal to bring Brown to Starrcast was finalized in late May. The appearance is the result of years of work by Starrcast and Paragon Talent’s Steve Kaye, who had reportedly been pursuing Brown for a long time.

“Steve Kaye has worked for years to try to coax Monty Brown to make an appearance, which was nailed down at the end of May.”

While Brown hasn’t been active in wrestling for years, he has kept ties to the industry. He’s been spotted backstage at AEW, TNA, and WWE shows, and is still close with names like Lance Archer and Kevin Thorn. Wrestlers Jake Something and Rohit Raju have also encountered him in Saginaw, Michigan, where Brown resides and devotes time to coaching and mentoring local youth.

Despite multiple offers over the last 18 years, Brown has rarely taken bookings, making this Starrcast appearance a notable moment for longtime fans.
