Mojo Rawley’s wrestling career appears to be officially over — at least when it comes to doing it full-time.
The former WWE Superstar confirmed during an interview with TSC News that he is now retired from competing regularly in professional wrestling. Rawley had not wrestled an official match since 2020, and after years of teasing a potential comeback, he revealed that returning to a full-time schedule is no longer in the cards. Rawley made it clear that while he still enjoys being around the ring, he considers his career as a full-time performer finished.
“Full-time, I’m retired. Even though I’ve been teasing a comeback for almost six years now, that’s mostly been for fun. I do plan to come back at some point for something like a one-night-only match or just a fun appearance if the right opportunity comes along.”
Despite stepping away from full-time competition, Rawley said he still trains occasionally because he enjoys the environment and staying connected to wrestling. Instead of the demanding wrestling schedule, Rawley said he now prefers being able to step into the ring casually while maintaining control over his time.
“Since retiring, I’ve still been training. I spent time training at Flatbacks with Spears and Breeze just to stay in shape and enjoy being around the ring. I’ve also trained periodically at House of Champions and at Jamie Stanley’s school. I love it and I definitely miss it, but doing it full-time doesn’t make sense for me right now. What I enjoy is being able to get in the ring when I want, take a few bumps, run the ropes, do some drills, and just have fun with friends while keeping control of my schedule.”
Rawley also revealed that his business venture, Paragon, quickly became his main focus after stepping away from wrestling and has proven to be a better long-term opportunity for him. Because of that success, Rawley said he has no plans to return to the demanding schedule that comes with being a full-time wrestler.
“At the same time, I started Paragon and it took off almost immediately. Right away I had my next big opportunity, and honestly it turned out to be better for me than wrestling full-time ever could have been. I make more money now, I work from home, I spend more time with my family, and I’m helping other people make money too. So it checks all the boxes for me. That’s why I’m done with wrestling full-time and there’s no chance I’m going back to that schedule. But maybe one day, for something fun, I could still step in the ring again.”
Rawley previously revealed that his WWE career ended after he battled severe long COVID symptoms that prevented him from training and performing for an extended period. Now, while he may still make the occasional appearance in the ring, his days as a full-time wrestler are officially over.
