MJF won’t be wrestling at AEW Double or Nothing—but that doesn’t mean he won’t be there.
According to Fightful Select, MJF is confirmed to be in Phoenix for this weekend’s pay-per-view event, despite not being officially booked in a match. That confirmation comes just after he joined the Hurt Syndicate on AEW Dynamite and closed out the first hour of the May 21 show with a major segment.
MJF appeared alongside MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin to finalize his induction into the faction. After weeks of buildup, the contract was finally signed on live TV, with MVP hyping the former AEW World Champion as someone “better than the fans, and they know it.”
The Hurt Syndicate’s celebration didn’t last long. They were interrupted by Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, who will face the Syndicate at Double or Nothing for their titles. Rhodes didn’t hold back, telling MJF to “shut up” and warning MVP, “He’s a snake in the grass.” Rhodes followed up with one more jab: “If I were a betting man, I’d bet on the Day One guys.”
While MJF isn’t competing on the card, his confirmed presence in Phoenix adds a new layer of intrigue. Whether he plays a supporting role or inserts himself into the action, it’s safe to assume MJF won’t just be sitting quietly backstage.
