MJF didn’t necessarily get the result he wanted at AEW All Out after Mark Briscoe beat him in a brutal match. Following his loss, the Salt of the Earth’s future has now been revealed.
MJF’s wife Alicia Atout took to Twitter and provided an update after his loss at AEW All Out, talking about their delayed honeymoon. She stated that she had hoped they’d go on their honeymoon after the event, but added that he might be dead after the brutal match. And if he’s alive, he has to start filming his movie, so the trip will have to wait.
“Guys. I was really hoping we’d go on the honeymoon after ALL OUT. But a) he might be dead, And b) if he’s alive, he’s gotta go shoot the movie…”
It’s been a really hectic week for the Salt of the Earth. He was filming for Universal Picture’s Violent Night 2 and then went to Mexico and had a classic bout against Mistico, where he lost the CMLL World Heavyweight Title. He then ended up losing to Mark Briscoe and is now going back to filming Violent Night 2, so it’s clear he will be gone from AEW television again.
From losing to Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out to starting work on Violent Night 2, MJF now finds himself balancing major Hollywood opportunities with his epic wrestling career.
While his honeymoon with Alicia Atout will have to wait, there’s no doubt the Salt of the Earth will return to AEW with even more focus when he finally comes back.
Do you think MJF’s time away for Hollywood will help or hurt his momentum in AEW?
When he returns, who should his first feud be with? Sound off in the comments.
