MJF tried to pull one over on Bandido during AEW Dynamite, but the plan backfired in spectacular fashion.

After Bandido defeated Sammy Guevara in a solid main event match, the celebration was cut short by the arrival of AEW World Champion MJF. He didn’t come alone—he brought an “interpreter” named Jonathan Cruz, who was clearly there to act as a mouthpiece for his latest scheme.

MJF praised Bandido’s performance but quickly shifted gears. He tried to manipulate the ROH World Champion into handing over his Dynamite Diamond Ring, claiming that if Bandido gave it up, he’d pull some strings with Tony Khan to cancel their title match and maybe get him a PPV opportunity in the next decade.

Bandido didn’t fall for it. Even though Cruz began translating the offer, Bandido fired back in English and made it clear he wasn’t about to be bullied out of anything. That’s when MJF turned violent. He delivered a cheap low blow and ordered Cruz to hold Bandido still for another attack.

It didn’t go according to plan. Bandido broke free, dropped Cruz with the 21 Plex, and then hit MJF with the same brutal move before standing tall with both the Dynamite Diamond Ring and his momentum fully intact.

MJF tried to play the con man, but Bandido didn’t flinch. Instead of ducking a fight, the ROH Champion sent a loud message: he’s not scared, he’s not backing down, and he’ll take the fight straight to the world champ.
