AEW star MJF had something to say after WWE once again referenced All Elite Wrestling during the March 30th, 2025 edition of Monday Night Raw.

The show featured another intense back-and-forth between John Cena and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to build up their WrestleMania 41 clash. During the segment, Cody didn’t hold back, saying, “I got booed in the company I created,” clearly referencing his AEW past. That line was one of several nods to his former promotion, and fans on social media quickly lit up with reactions—some praising it, others calling it unnecessary.

MJF, never one to stay quiet when wrestling discourse takes over, jumped on Twitter/X shortly after the show ended and gave his take. “I truly don’t get why fans get up in arms when WWE mentions or references AEW. Or when AEW mentions or references WWE,” he wrote. “If you want to be treated like children, watch Elmo. Or better yet. Tell VKM to start a new promotion.”

The former AEW World Champion has never shied away from referencing WWE on AEW programming, so it’s no surprise he doesn’t see the issue when the roles are reversed. And with Cody now making pointed references on live WWE television, it’s clear both companies aren’t shying away from acknowledging each other—especially on the road to WrestleMania.

Whether it’s seen as cross-promotion or just throwing verbal jabs, MJF’s point is clear: fans need to stop being overly sensitive about it.

What do you think—should WWE and AEW keep referencing each other on TV? Or should they stay in their own lanes? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
