MJF Says He’s ‘Going Dark’ After AEW Dynasty Win and Refuses To Talk About Next Title Defense

MJF kept the AEW World Championship at Dynasty, but he wasn’t interested in talking about what comes next.

After defeating Kenny Omega in the main event of AEW Dynasty 2026 in Vancouver, MJF spoke with Renee Paquette in a digital exclusive. Renee tried to bring up his future, including his upcoming title defense against Darby Allin, but MJF shut the conversation down before she could even get the question out.

Instead of discussing his next challenger, MJF made it clear he plans to step away and disconnect after the hard-fought win.

“Renee, I’m just gonna cut you off right now. Okay tuts. I am going dark on social media, on my phone. Nobody call me. I’m gonna go home to my wife and make sweet love to her because your boy just proved ain’t nobody on the level of the devil. Good day, Renee. You suck Omega, you fucking bum!”

The reaction came right after MJF survived a wild main event against Omega. The match turned chaotic late when the referee was knocked down, allowing MJF to use his Dynamite Diamond Ring before finishing Omega with a Heatseeker to keep the title.

Even with another challenger waiting, MJF showed no interest in looking ahead. His focus was on celebrating the win and stepping away from the spotlight, at least for now.

MJF saying he’s going dark right after a huge title defense only adds more mystery to what he’ll do next. With Darby Allin still in line for a shot, his silence could make things even more unpredictable in the weeks ahead.
