Maxwell Jacob Friedman might be one of the most arrogant personalities in professional wrestling, but the AEW World Champion recently opened up about a very different side of his life — starting a family.
During an appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, the conversation eventually shifted away from wrestling, rivalries, and business talk. The hosts asked MJF about life outside the ring and whether he sees himself becoming a father in the future. While answering in his typical humorous style, MJF confirmed that he and his wife Alicia have already talked about having children. He joked about the process while admitting that it’s something they both want.
“Listen, the most fun part about trying is having sex. And so I’m in the fun part right now. But yeah, me and Alicia would definitely like a mini-MJF running around the house soon.”
The hosts followed up by asking how many kids he would want if that happens. MJF didn’t hesitate with his answer and revealed he already has a specific vision for his future family.
“I would like two. Two is my magic number. A boy and a girl, fingers crossed.”
He then laughed while suggesting that his plan probably lines up with what a lot of people imagine when thinking about their future family.
“That’s my magic number. Is that not everybody’s dream though?”
The comments offered a rare glimpse into the personal side of the AEW star, who usually keeps the focus on insults, rivalries, and his larger-than-life wrestling persona. While MJF is still firmly in the middle of his wrestling career, it’s clear he’s already thinking about what life could look like outside the ring someday.
