AEW’s MJF isn’t just making waves with his acting debut—he’s also keeping tight-lipped about what really went down behind the scenes on Happy Gilmore 2.
During a conversation with TMZ Sports, the AEW star was asked directly about potential interactions with other Hollywood heavyweights on set, including Kelsey Grammer and Bad Bunny. While fans were hoping for a wild story or a fun interaction, MJF wasn’t giving up anything. The interviewer asked if he got to “chop it up” with either of the celebrities.
“Did you chop it up with Kelsey or like Bad Bunny? Like, did you get any cool moments with those two?”
MJF gave a sly smile and delivered a two-word response that only deepened the mystery.
“I cannot comment.”
He didn’t crack a joke. He didn’t hint. He didn’t follow up. Just a deadpan answer that instantly sparked speculation. Whether it was a professional choice to keep things private—or simply MJF being MJF—the moment added to his already larger-than-life persona.
It’s not the first time MJF has made headlines for his role in Happy Gilmore 2. In the same interview, he confirmed he’s taking acting just as seriously as wrestling.
“Absolutely. I, uh… I’m taking acting just as seriously as I do professional wrestling, and I’m very excited about it.”
He also gushed over Adam Sandler, calling the experience “so special” and describing Sandler as “like a father to me.”
Though he initially auditioned for a minor “Maxi Golf” role, casting eventually placed MJF as Happy Gilmore’s son. The now-viral fight scene with Eminem proved to be one of the film’s standout moments, further fueling MJF’s Hollywood momentum.
But when it comes to whatever may have happened with Grammer and Bad Bunny on set, it looks like fans will just have to keep guessing.
