MJF is kicking off 2026 with a bold statement—he’s ready to defend the AEW World Championship outside of AEW, and he’s eyeing Limitless Wrestling as the battleground.
On January 1, 2026, MJF took to Instagram with a fiery promo hyping his return to Limitless Wrestling on January 16. And in true MJF fashion, he made it clear that he’s not coming back just for a meet-and-greet—he’s threatening to put the AEW World Championship on the line.
The champ called out Limitless standout Alec Price, and while he didn’t exactly shower him with praise, he admitted Price had earned the spotlight. MJF said in the clip:
“There’s a guy in Limitless Wrestling. He’s got a loud mouth, he’s skinny, he won’t shut the hell up. But the reason everybody hates him… is because he can back it up. Alec Price, you remind me a lot of a young MJF.”
MJF didn’t just stop there—he teased a potential title match if he’s still holding the AEW World Championship by the time he walks into Limitless Wrestling’s next event.
“If I hold on to my Triple B until my return to Limitless Wrestling, I will be putting it on the line against you.”
And in case there was any doubt about the outcome, MJF made sure to remind fans exactly who he is:
“Let’s be honest, I ain’t losing this thing for a long, long time. Because my name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman. And I’m better than you and Alec Price… soon you’ll know it.”
