MJF has now addressed possibly facing Goldberg in AEW, claiming that he would embarrass the WWE Hall of Famer.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, MJF talked about the idea of facing Goldberg in AEW. He said he’s ready if Goldberg wants a match, but warned that he would embarrass and demolish him.

MJF claimed he would break every bone in Goldberg’s body and said that no one comes after him, he would be the last opponent Goldberg ever faces. If Goldberg wants a real retirement match, MJF believes it should be against someone as talented as himself.

“If Goldberg wants some, I’m right here. But I’ll embarrass him. I’ll demolish him. I’ll snap, crack every single legitimate bone in his stupid, old, musty body. You know who’s next? Nobody. I’d be last, capiche? So if he wants a proper sendoff, he should be facing a generational talent. I’m right here if he’s interested.”

MJF also made it clear that a match like this wouldn’t be cheap. He said he would need to be paid a lot of money, and Goldberg probably would too. So everything would have to work out perfectly for it to happen.

But A) I’m gonna need to be paid a lot of money if you wanna see that match. B) I’d imagine he doesn’t come cheap either. So a lot of stars have to align for that to happen.”

The Salt of the Earth also said that AEW fans are always excited to see what he does. When it comes to MJF vs. Goldberg, he believes it would be a huge match that fans would care about in any time period.

MJF said people think he would fit in well during the time Goldberg came up, especially because of his mic skills. While he doesn’t think Goldberg is a great talker, he does respect him as a powerful and intense superstar. In MJF’s eyes, the match would be a big draw and a major event.

“I think AEW fans would like me to do anything. As far as MJF vs. Goldberg specifically? That’s a huge marquee match in any era. I think there are a lot of fans who feel I’d fit in that era, especially when you think of the mic workers of the time. Goldberg is a bumbling idiot—not a great talker, but an incredibly intense megastar. I mean, I think that’s a huge box office match.”

Even Jim Ross believes that Goldberg isn’t done wrestling just yet and he also felt that MJF would be a great opponent for Goldberg. With Goldberg’s future in wrestling still unsure after his retirement match, AEW might have a chance to give fans a special bout that could actually mark the end of Goldberg’s career. Therefore, we’ll have to see if MJF and Goldberg end up facing each other in the future.
