Scott D’Amore has a message for MJF — it’s time to stop waiting around and make a move.
The 29-year-old former AEW World Champion has been off television since losing to Mark Briscoe at AEW All Out and hasn’t stepped back into the ring since. But that hasn’t stopped fans and wrestlers alike from calling him out — including Nic Nemeth, better known to WWE fans as Dolph Ziggler.
Back in September, MJF fired back at a report and called out Nemeth for a match under the Maple Leaf Pro banner, sparking major interest online. Since then, things have gone quiet — and now, D’Amore is publicly nudging him to make something happen.
On his D’Amore Drop column, the veteran promoter didn’t mince words when mentioning MJF’s silence.
“Speaking of champions appearing at Maple Leaf, it’s been a month since Nic Nemeth publicly challenged MJF to face him in MLP. Are we doing this, MJF?”
It’s the kind of poke that might just get a reaction from MJF, who’s known for firing back when provoked. While there’s still no confirmation that the match will happen, fans are now watching closely to see if MJF takes the bait.
Whether it’s in Maple Leaf Pro or another promotion, a showdown between MJF and Nemeth would be one for the books — but only if MJF decides to make the first move.
