MJF just got blasted by Master Emir on Cafe de Rene — after tweeting that wrestlers should “start hitting fans again.”
In the latest episode of the Cafe De Renee podcast, Emir went after the AEW star after MJF tweeted, “Wrestlers, we need to start hitting fans again.” The comment came in response to a retirement video from longtime WWE superfan “Brock Lesnar Guy” — but for Emir, this was the final straw in a long list of disturbing behavior.
“He lost his mind a long time ago. Here’s another case of a guy whose ego has gone into overdrive. So obviously, you know, I’m no fan of his.”
Emir wasn’t done. He called out MJF for past incidents involving kids and fans — behavior that, in his eyes, crosses the line from entertainment into something far more troubling.
“He has been telling kids to f— off, which I think is deplorable because little kids shouldn’t be hearing that… when you tell a kid to their face and you’re supposed to be working for a billion-dollar company, you’re not a good ambassador for the company — unless the company is trying to advertise trash.”
He then referenced recent claims that the Salt of the Earth threw water at a young fan and smacked a cap off another fan’s head at a show.
“I guess he threw a little girl. Yeah, I don’t know—some fan. I guess he threw water at some kid, and they weren’t having it because, again, you shouldn’t be touching the fans with water.
Matthew, my dear friend and co-star on MasterClass, was saying that he witnessed MJF smack a cap off of a fan’s head—like literally smack their head and smack their cap off at a show.
So now he put out a tweet saying that wrestlers should hit little kids. No—do not hit little kids. And keep your hands off the fans, please.
You shouldn’t be touching the fans. Number one, you’re crossing the line… there’s a thing called assault, and there’s a very fine line on what assault can mean. You could look at somebody the wrong way, and that’s assault.”
As Emir sees it, this isn’t just heel behavior — it’s a serious risk to AEW and the safety of their audience. His co-host Rene even mentioned that MJF’s social media meltdown involved him “crying about being beaten up by a little girl on TV.”
Whether MJF is just pushing the envelope or ripping it to shreds, the backlash from wrestling veterans like Emir shows there’s a line — and some believe MJF has long since crossed it.
