The Miz and Bryan Danielson’s long-running rivalry doesn’t look like it’s dying down anytime soon. The two have clashed for over a decade, and The Miz recently reignited their tension with a pointed remark during ESPN’s Road to WrestlePalooza show.

While speaking about his in-ring style, The Miz brought up how he’s been labeled by others in the past. He noted that someone once described his wrestling as being on the safer side, but made sure to remind everyone that the person who said it is no longer in WWE.

“I’ve had people tell me that I have a safe way of wrestling. But that person is no longer here anymore, so we don’t need to talk about him.”

The jab was a clear reference to Bryan Danielson, now a top star in AEW. Their history goes back to the very first season of NXT, but things reached another level in 2016 when Danielson, then working as SmackDown General Manager, told The Miz his wrestling style was “soft” and “safe.” Miz exploded on Talking Smack in response, delivering a passionate promo that reignited his career.
