WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats) is the newest show on the block, as it’s a competition series which will see young talent from various fields compete in order to determine which two competitors will win an NXT contract. While many feel this show is similar to WWE Tough Enough, Mickie James has dismissed such comparisons.

While speaking to Going Ringside, Mickie James talked about being part of WWE LFG, admitting that she wasn’t sure what to expect at first because the show has a unique format. While some people might think it’s similar to Tough Enough, she believes it is much more dynamic and fresh.

James also pointed out that this was the first time The Undertaker had ever coached young wrestlers, which made the show special. Fans saw their favorite Superstars in a new way, with each coach having their own style. The young wrestlers on the show also had different personalities, making the competition even more interesting and different than Tough Enough.

“It’s been different, and I didn’t, you know, really know what to expect walking in because it is such a different show. Uh, yeah, I think the closest we’ve ever done to anything like this was Tough Enough, but this is, you know, way different. I think it relates a lot to that—most people associate it with Tough Enough—but it’s so different and dynamic.

Obviously, you’ve never seen Undertaker as a coach before. In fact, this show is the first time—he says it openly—that it’s the first time he’s actually coached young, hungry wrestlers to then, you know, become Superstars themselves.

So, you get to see all these Superstars that you’ve looked up to for so long in maybe a different light. And our coaching styles are so different, and our personalities, as well as the talent—the kids’ personalities—are so, so different.”

WWE LFG premieres on Sunday, February 16, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on A&E. The show features The Undertaker, Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley as mentors, guiding competitors through tough in-ring battles and backstage challenges. WWE Hall of Famers Triple H and Shawn Michaels will also play a role, helping the hopefuls earn points to stay in the competition.

Mickie James explained why this show is different from anything fans have seen before. It gives a fresh look at how new wrestling stars are made. Therefore, whether someone is a longtime WWE fan or just curious, this show will be exciting to watch.
