Mick Foley isn’t staying quiet about the fatal shooting of 37‑year‑old ICU nurse Alex Pretti by federal agents in Minneapolis.
As details continue to emerge about the incident — including reports that video appears to show a federal officer taking a gun away from Pretti before a Border Patrol agent fired the fatal shot — Foley took to Instagram with an emotional response after watching the footage.
In his post, the WWE Hall of Famer made it clear that the video deeply disturbed him and that he believes the public narrative around the incident is being shaped unfairly.
“I just watched the video and it was devastating. This looks to me like murder in broad daylight, followed by character assassination from the highest levels of our government.”
Foley didn’t stop there. He also questioned how incidents like this can still be happening in the United States, framing the situation as a broader crisis rather than an isolated event.
“How is this happening in the United States of America in 2026? This must stop now.”
His comments arrive as national tensions continue to rise following the shooting. Federal authorities have maintained that the agent acted in self-defense, while Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has publicly rejected that version of events. Protests have broken out in Minneapolis and across the country, with demonstrators calling for accountability and transparency surrounding the incident.
