Mick Foley isn’t backing off his stance on ICE — and weeks after the controversy first erupted on AEW Dynamite, he’s now taking things even further.
Back on February 4, AEW Dynamite drew major attention when the Las Vegas crowd loudly chanted “F*** ICE” before the main event, a moment that quickly spread online. Foley later showed support for that segment on social media, making it clear he agreed with the sentiment. Now, more than a month later, the WWE Hall of Famer has returned to the topic with a much deeper and more direct message.
Speaking on his YouTube channel on March 18, 2026, Foley addressed the issue head-on and made it clear this wasn’t just about wrestling anymore — it was about how immigrants are being treated in the United States.
“Hello everybody. This is Mick Foley, the hardcore legend, and this is an earnest and honest attempt to talk to Republicans and independents who are not so far gone that they can still think for themselves.”
Foley explained that his message was aimed at people he believes are still open to reconsidering their views, not those firmly set in their stance. He then pointed to polling numbers he had heard and pushed back on the idea that a large percentage of Americans support current ICE-related actions.
“What I’m talking about is appealing to good-hearted, sensible people who cannot believe that the way immigrants are treated in this country is correct. I was listening to a TV station where they said 65% of Americans think ICE has gone too far… But I was left thinking, wait — 35% of the American public is for this? I’m sorry, but I cannot believe that. I refuse to believe it.”
Drawing from his years on the road, Foley said his real-life experiences don’t match that narrative. Rather than attacking, Foley framed his argument around belief in the country’s values.
“I know who you are. When I was struggling, you were the people who let me stay in your spare room… You were the people wearing a MAGA hat who still gave me directions when my GPS wasn’t working. No — we’re all better than this. I’m not saying this in a condescending way. I’m saying it because I know.”
He also shared a quote that motivated him to speak out now, making it clear that it’s not too late for people to change their perspective. Foley then laid out specific examples of what he believes crosses the line when it comes to immigration enforcement. He closed by urging people to use their voice and challenge what they see happening.
“It’s okay to admit you were for something and no longer are… The best time to speak up would have been earlier. The second best time is now. America is better than zip-tying senior citizens. America is better than chasing down agricultural workers… We are better than inflicting fear on people based only on the language they speak or the color of their skin. Donald Trump reads the polls. Thirty-five percent is bad. I think the real number is closer to ten. Please make a difference by using your voice.”
This latest message makes it clear that Foley’s reaction to the AEW Dynamite moment back in February wasn’t a one-off. He’s continuing to speak out — and he’s doing it in a much bigger way now.
