Michael Cole is showing major love to his longtime broadcast partner Taz — and he’s not holding back on the praise.

During an appearance on WFAN, Cole reflected on his decades in WWE and revealed that out of all the commentators he’s worked with, no one compares to Taz. The two called SmackDown together for years, especially during the show’s peak under Paul Heyman’s creative leadership.

“For me, I’ve had a lot of great partners over the years. JBL was a great one, Corey Graves, Pat McAfee but, to me, my favorite partner of all time was Taz. Taz and I really took over SmackDown under the tutelage of Paul Heyman and to me, we became the best announce team in the business there for a few years so Taz has always been my number one favorite.”

The quote quickly made the rounds online, and it didn’t take long for Taz to respond. The AEW commentator kept it short but heartfelt.
