Mercedes Moné’s recent run of setbacks continued over the weekend, and a new report has now shed light on her status for AEW Revolution 2026.
Moné competed on March 14 during the BZW x Rixe APOGÉE event, where she faced Mila Smidt for the EWA Women’s Championship. The match ended with Smidt scoring a major victory, capturing the title and adding a significant accomplishment to her career résumé.
The loss came shortly after Moné also dropped the CMLL Women’s World Championship in Mexico City, marking the second title she has lost in a short period while competing internationally. Despite the competitive nature of the bout, the moment after the bell carried a different tone. Instead of tension between the two wrestlers, Moné and Smidt shared a message supporting women’s wrestling. Following the match, both competitors stood together in the ring and held up a sign that read “MORE WOMEN IN THE RING!” while posing with the championship in front of the crowd.
While the title loss immediately fueled speculation about Moné’s next move, a new update from Fightful Select addressed whether fans should expect to see her appear at AEW Revolution. According to the report, there has been no indication that Moné is scheduled to return during the event.
“We also haven't heard anything to Mercedes Mone returning tonight. She dropped another title this weekend.”
It was also noted that discussions have taken place about some long-absent talent potentially showing up in AEW in the months ahead, though no specific names were confirmed.
“There has been talk of some long absent talent popping up in AEW in the coming months, we're told.”
With AEW Revolution set to take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, speculation about surprise appearances has been swirling across the wrestling world. However, based on the latest information, Moné does not appear to be part of those plans for tonight’s show.
