AEW is finally giving fans the first showdown between two of its biggest stars—Mercedes Moné and Toni Storm. On May 27, AEW President Tony Khan announced that both champions will come face-to-face during the May 28 episode of Dynamite.

In a tweet hyping the segment, Khan confirmed the long-awaited moment:

“TOMORROW El Paso, TX 8pm ET/7pm CT, TBS + Max Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite Mercedes Moné Meets Timeless Toni Storm. After their massive #AEWDoN wins, @owen_Foundation Tournament winner @MercedesVarnado meets World Champion Toni Storm face-to-face before #AEWAllInTexas TOMORROW!”

Moné’s win in the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament at Double or Nothing secured her a shot at Toni Storm’s AEW Women’s World Championship. That title match is officially set for AEW All In at Globe Life Field on July 12, but the build begins now.
