Mercedes Moné has been ruling the roost as she continues her belt collector run, but many people are not happy about how strongly she is booked and compare her to Hulk Hogan. Unsurprisingly, the CEO of AEW has now told fans to stop calling her “Mercedes Hogan.”

While speaking during an Instagram Live session, Mercedes Moné addressed people who have been calling her Mercedes Hogan after she’s won so many titles. She told them not to call her Mercedes Hogan but instead, call her Mercedes Omega, saying, “Don’t call me Mercedes Hogan, call me Mercedes Omega.”

This comes after the CEO of AEW defeated Zeuxis to become the new CMLL Women’s World Champion at AEW Grand Slam Mexico and many people feel Mercedes Moné simply refuses to lose.

Mercedes Moné wanting people to call her Omega is obviously due to the fact that Kenny Omega had a belt collector gimmick a few years ago and she’d rather be compared to Omega than Hogan.

Mercedes is now set to challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Championship at All In: Texas, and if she wins, she’ll be holding seven titles. Therefore, we’ll have to see if she will end up winning the AEW Women’s Title next week as there will be some people who won’t be happy about that at all.

Do you think “Mercedes Hogan” is an appropriate name for Mercedes Moné or is it totally unnecessary? Sound off in the comments.
