Mercedes Moné has officially shut the door on the Moné Muppet, and she’s making it clear—there’s only room for one star in AEW.

The TBS Champion addressed the puppet’s unexpected rise to fame in her newsletter, where she reflected on how Harley Cameron’s joke creation became an instant hit. “This little puppet has really taken on a life of its own. I mean, let’s be real—this thing doesn’t look anything like me, but it sure knows how to bring the entertainment!”

What started as Cameron’s way to mock Moné turned into a viral sensation, with multiple Moné Muppet segments taking over social media. But after Moné defeated Cameron at AEW Grand Slam in Australia, she made sure to send the puppet packing—literally. “And at Grand Slam! That puppet had its moments, but I kicked it so hard that it practically flew backward!”

Moné even compared the moment to DDT’s legendary inflatable doll Yoshihiko, saying it was her way of paying tribute. “I’ve been a fan of DDT Yoshihiko for ages, so consider this my tribute.”

But don’t expect a comeback for the puppet anytime soon. Moné made it clear that the Moné Muppet needs to “take a seat and leave the spotlight to the real star—because we all know who runs this show!”

With Harley Cameron now in the rearview, Moné’s focus is shifting to her next challenge. AEW teased that Momo Watanabe is stepping up as the next contender for the TBS Championship, setting the stage for what could be a major showdown on Dynamite.
