Mercedes Moné is finally opening up about how she’s been spending her time away from AEW—and it’s not just vacations and quiet nights.
In a new Instagram Stories post, Moné explained she’s been using her time off to focus on healing, self-care, and undergoing stem cell therapy in Cancún, Mexico, all to ensure she returns to the ring in top form.
“So I’ve been really trying to enjoy this time off by really healing my body and taking care of myself. Because I want to come back to the ring better than ever,” she said.
Moné, who hasn’t wrestled since dropping the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale at the end of 2025, emphasized that she’s prioritizing both her physical and mental well-being.
“I’ve just been really taking this time to feel good, and I really want to feel good inside and outside. If you saw a couple of my videos at the House of Sun, oh my God, my back, my neck feel so amazing. I’ve never felt my spine just feel so straight.”
She also confirmed her current whereabouts:
“Now I’m here in Cancun, Mexico for stem cell treatment. I came down to RejuvStem because a lot of my co-workers came down here and told me about their results, so I’m super excited for feeling the best version of myself.”
Despite the break, Mercedes made one thing clear—she’s not done collecting wins.
“I’m going to be very busy in March because I still have a lot of championships to defend. Yes, I defend my titles, btches.”*
Moné might be off AEW TV, but don’t get it twisted—she’s not resting, she’s reloading. Between stem cell treatments, bodywork, and a full mental reset, she’s making it clear this isn’t a disappearance—it’s a transformation. And when she steps back in the ring, she’s not just coming back… she’s coming for everyone.
