Before she was a champion, Mercedes Moné was just trying to get her foot in the Ring of Honor door.
Ahead of her official ROH in-ring debut on the December 4th episode of ROH on HonorClub, Moné took to X /Twitter to reflect on her history with the brand—revealing that her connection to Ring of Honor goes back much further than her current championship reign.
“I’ve been a fan of ROH since 2003! I can’t wait make my debut tonight watch at http://WatchROH.com 🤑,” Moné wrote. “I tried working for ROH in 2011/2012 This one is for you Mercedes KV 🩷💛”
Now, over a decade later, she’s finally set to compete for the promotion—not just as a talent, but as the ROH Women’s World Television Champion. Moné will defend that title the very next night at Final Battle on December 5, where she’ll face off against Red Velvet in one of the card’s marquee matches.
While fans are eager to see her ROH debut, Moné’s post adds to meaning of the appearance—marking a full-circle moment from a chapter in her early wrestling grind that never materialized until now.
