Mercedes Moné Names Her Top Pro Wrestling Matches of All Time

Mercedes Moné just dropped her definitive list of all-time favorite matches, and it reads like a blueprint of her rise as one of the most respected wrestlers in the game.

In the latest issue of MonéMag, the current AEW star looked back at her in-ring career and tried to narrow her top performances down to five—but couldn’t help herself and went with seven. She opened the feature by explaining just how difficult it is to choose when every match holds its own meaning.

“People often ask me about my top five matches of all time, and honestly, it’s hard to narrow it down—because I’ve been blessed with so many incredible opponents in my career.”

Still, there was one match that stood far above the rest in her mind.

“But one match always comes to mind first: me vs. Bayley at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn. That match was life-changing, not just for me but for women’s wrestling as a whole. It set a new standard, and I’m so proud of what we accomplished that night.”

Coming in at number two was her AEW showdown with Toni Storm—one that she said delivered something deeper than just big spots and crowd reactions.

“Coming in at number two is me vs. Toni Storm. That match was pure magic, and I’ll share more about why it meant so much to me in a moment.”

Beyond that, Moné didn’t assign a strict order but gave flowers to some of the biggest names she’s locked up with. Her Hell in a Cell clash with Bayley made the list, along with her matches against Kris Statlander, Athena, Asuka, and Bianca Belair.

“Me vs. Bayley at Hell in a Cell was iconic in its own way. Then there’s me vs. Kris Statlander, me vs. Athena, and me vs. Asuka. Every single one of those matches pushed me, inspired me, and left a mark on my heart. Of course, Bianca and I, too.”
