On the December 20th edition of AEW Collision, Mercedes Moné’s open challenge for the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship got a surprise answer from Alex Windsor—and the result was just as shocking.

Windsor took control early, locking in a submission hold on Moné while she was trapped on the ring apron. Moné attempted to shift momentum by going for the Three Amigos, but Windsor managed to counter it before Moné could complete the move.

As the match continued, Mercedes tried to take things airborne, heading to the top rope. But Windsor responded with a devastating headbutt that knocked Moné off balance. From there, Windsor landed a neckbreaker-DDT combo across the ropes, keeping the pressure on the champion.

Windsor looked to seal the win by locking in a Scorpion Deathlock, but Mercedes reversed it into a submission of her own. As Windsor tried to power out, Moné transitioned into a crucifix driver, gaining a near fall.

Later in the match, Moné again went for a top-rope DDT, but Windsor cut her off. After a hard-hitting exchange, Mercedes attempted to finish things with her Moné Maker—but Windsor rolled her up out of nowhere for the shocking pinfall victory. With that, Alex Windsor is now the new RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion, ending Mercedes Moné’s reign.

AEW fans weren’t expecting Moné to drop the title, let alone on Collision, but Windsor proved herself a legitimate threat with a breakout performance on a big stage and fans couldn’t be happier.

What do you think of Windsor’s upset victory over Mercedes Moné? Was this the right move—or a missed opportunity for Moné’s reign? Drop your thoughts below.
