Mercedes Moné is standing by her friends—and possibly flexing some legal muscle in the process.

After former WWE announcer Samantha Irvin revealed she’s stuck in a two-year non-compete clause, Moné chimed in with a response that fans believe is aimed squarely at her new boyfriend, The Beast Mortos. Irvin had just tweeted about her post-WWE life on October 21, saying she still has another year left before she can return to wrestling.

“One year down, one year left on my non-compete! Can’t wait 😛 I hope you enjoy my songs in the meantime and look back on all the memories as fondly as I do! Love & miss you all and remember— I NEVER left FOR music, I am music. Hope to see you soon…..”

Mercedes Moné replied the post shortly after with what looked like a cheeky but very pointed message:

“I know several attorneys 🤑🫵🏽🚨💼”

While she didn’t mention him by name, it’s pretty clear who Mercedes Moné was referring to. Her boyfriend, The Beast Mortos, isn’t just any wrestler—he’s also a practicing lawyer, which means he’d naturally have strong ties within the legal community. With Moné recently confirming their relationship, fans quickly connected the dots.

Moné has plenty of experience navigating contract situations herself. After parting ways with WWE and successfully transitioning to AEW, she’s become one of the most dominant and respected champions in the company. Now, with a lawyer by her side, Moné seems more empowered than ever—both in and out of the ring.

Samantha Irvin, meanwhile, has embraced her music career while fans wait for her eventual return to the wrestling scene—likely sometime in late 2026, unless she finds a legal way out sooner.
