The May 28 episode of AEW Dynamite featured a face-to-face segment between Mercedes Moné and Toni Storm. This encounter followed Moné’s victory in the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, which secured her a title match.

With their AEW Women’s World Championship bout now set for AEW All In, the two were bound to have a face-to-face on AEW television. Moné and Storm confronted each other in the ring as the road to AEW’s next major event started.

Mercedes Mone got the microphone as the main event segment of the night. She proclaimed that she’s the greatest RevPro and TBS Champion ever, and now she’s the Owen Hart Foundation tournament champion. She also name-dropped Eddie Guerrero, saying that they don’t compare to her.

That is when Toni Storm came out to confront Mercedes Mone. Storm laid the AEW Women’s World Title down in in the ring between them. Mercedes said that fans are tired of a black and white champion, and they want a champion made of color.

Toni Storm mentioned how Mercedes Mone landed in AEW in Boston, in a show that was named after her. She’s undefeated in AEW, but she has never once spoken to or looked at Toni Storm. She wanted to know what took her so long. Mercedes said that it was all about patience, because this is about her legacy.

Mercedes Mone called herself the “Beyonce of women’s wrestling.” Then she proclaimed herself as the standard, the conversation, the blueprint, and the revolution. Fans chanted away as Toni Storm swore to “an unknown god that you’ve never met anyone like me.”

The former Sasha Banks then said she’s different too, because she’s not a Boss anymore, she’s a CEO. She has also beat people all over the world, and she promised to bring it all home at All In: Texas.

Toni Storm then made a point that both she and Mercedes Mone started on the indies, made names for themselves, but then became who they were meant to be in AEW. The only difference is that while Mone wants all the titles, Toni only needs one, the AEW Women’s World Title.

Storm said she hopes that young female fans will be impressed by what they do at All In. In the end, they ended with a tense stand-off, where they both agreed to meet in Texas with a handshake that ended with Storm sniffing Mone and kissing her hand. Then they both reversed out of their finishers and Mone left the ring as Storm posed for fans.

We will keep a close eye on this story as we get even closed to AEW All In: Texas. In case you didn’t know, AEW All In: Texas will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
