Mercedes Moné has been a top name in professional wrestling for over ten years, and many fans already consider her one of the greatest female wrestlers ever. She also clearly believes she’s a legend, as she has now called herself the Beyoncé of Wrestling.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo, Mercedes Moné was asked what it would mean to become AEW Women’s World Champion at All In: Texas. She said it would be a very emotional moment and she almost feels like crying, but she’s saving that for Texas. She explained that main eventing All In has always been her dream because it’s AEW’s biggest show of the year, like their Super Bowl.

The CEO of AEW called herself the biggest star in wrestling and said she helped make women’s wrestling what it is today. Mercedes said she’s excited to show off everything in Texas, her outfit, her look, and especially the match, because she sees herself as the Beyoncé of Wrestling.

“I can feel the emotions right now. I feel like I’m about to cry, but I’m going to save that for Texas. Um, but really, that’s what I’ve been dreaming about—main eventing All In. This is our Super Bowl. This is our biggest pay-per-view of the year. And you’re talking to the biggest star in all of professional wrestling, all of women’s wrestling. I put women’s wrestling on the map. So, to do that in Texas… well, I am the Beyoncé of wrestling, and I cannot wait to show everybody not only my gear, my outfit, the look, but just the match alone.”

Mercedes Moné is currently set to face off against Jamie Hayter in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup Women’s Tournament, where the winner will go on to challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In: Texas in July.

We will have to wait and see whether the CEO of AEW will punch her ticket to the main event of All In: Texas this year, as she will definitely have bragging rights if she does. Regardless, she truly does consider herself the Beyoncé of Wrestling and that’s never going to change.
