AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone isn’t entertaining the idea of a WWE return—especially not when it’s coming from fans stuck in the past.
After a fan took to her Instagram comments asking her to return to WWE, Mone didn’t hesitate to shut it down with a blunt and brutal clapback.
“imma need your ugly ass to watch AEW”
Mercedes made her AEW debut in March 2024 at the Big Business special in Boston. She went on to win the TBS Championship at Double or Nothing in May and most recently challenged for the AEW Women’s World Title at All In Texas, coming up short but solidifying her spot at the top of the division.
Her journey in AEW has been fueled by passion and purpose after her exit from WWE in May 2022. Alongside Naomi, Mercedes walked out of the company and officially parted ways in early 2023. Since then, she’s carved out a lane entirely on her terms—and she’s not in the mood for suggestions to backtrack.
Mercedes’ reply sends a loud message: she’s locked in with AEW, and if you’re not watching, that’s your loss.
