Mercedes Martinez Inducted Into Women’s Wrestling Hall of Fame After 25-Year Career

Mercedes Martinez just secured another milestone in her storied career—she’s now a Hall of Famer.

After 25 years in the pro wrestling industry, Martinez has officially been inducted into the Women’s Wrestling Hall of Fame. From independent promotions to major companies like WWE, AEW, Ring of Honor, and IMPACT Wrestling, Martinez has built a legacy that spans generations and promotions.

Her most recent run came to an end in January 2026, when her contract with AEW/ROH expired. She originally joined the company in late 2021 and quickly became a force in both brands’ women’s divisions.

Martinez is also a former ROH Women’s World Champion, and played a key role in setting the stage for one of the most dominant title reigns in modern wrestling. She was the last wrestler to hold the championship before Athena defeated her—beginning what has since become a record-breaking 1,100+ day reign.
