Maxxine Dupri Puts Up Impressive Effort In Women’s IC Title Match During 8/11 WWE RAW

The Man is still the champ.

WWE brought a fun RAW for their August 11 episode in Quebec City. That included a Women’s IC Title match.

During last week’s WWE RAW, Natalya approached Becky Lynch backstage, and she wanted a shot at her title. The Man granted a title match, but it was against Maxxine Dupri instead, who seemed blind sided by the match.

The two had their Women’s IC Title match during the second hour of the show. The two wrestled for a big before Becky Lynch told Maxxine Dupri to get out of her ring. Instead of leaving in humiliation, Dupri fought back.

The whole theme of this match was Becky Lynch telling Maxxine Dupri that she doesn’t belong in a match with her. Still, it was Lynch who booked the match last week to avoid facing Natalya. The two continued for a bit as Maxxine ate two Becksploder suplexes as Lynch kept up the assault.

Maxxine Dupri reversed out of a Manhandle Slam to hit a stunner. The two got to their feet and Dupri moved out of the way of a splash in the corner, and then Dupri got an ankle lock. After some flips, Maxxine clotheslined Lynch and fought her in the other corner before Lynch rolled out to escape. Then Dupri took the fight to The Man on the outside before they returned to the ring.

Eventually, Becky Lynch got the Dis-Arm-Her locked on Dupri, and she tapped out. This was still a hard-fought match, as Maxxine put up much more of a fight than anyone expected. After the match, Becky Lynch took a cheap shot on Natalya before she left.
