Max Caster has been missing from AEW TV for months now — but according to a new update, there’s no drama behind it.

Sean Ross Sapp addressed Caster’s current status during a Fightful Select Q&A after speculation picked up about whether he was injured or dealing with backstage heat.

The question came directly from fans who noticed Caster’s reduced presence following his last AEW appearance during the Dynamite Diamond Ring 2025 Battle Royal back in December. Given his history of controversy, some wondered if something had gone wrong behind the scenes. Sapp shut that down quickly, making it clear there’s no injury — and no known punishment either.

“What's the deal with Max Caster? Is he hurt or in the doghouse? No, he's not hurt if he's in the doghouse. I haven't heard of it.”

He also pointed out that while Caster isn’t regularly appearing on AEW television right now, he hasn’t stopped wrestling altogether. From there, Sapp explained the bigger picture — noting that this kind of absence isn’t unusual in All Elite Wrestling, where talent rotation is part of how the roster is managed.

“I mean, he has been before with some of his raps, but he's been wrestling. He wrestled, I think last night as well, but he wrestles on the Indies, but that's. That's about it. Sometimes people get cycled out of AEW, but he's not hurt whatsoever.”

That detail changes the narrative completely. Instead of injury or backstage issues, Caster’s absence appears to be a standard case of roster rotation — something AEW has done with multiple talents over time.

Given his past controversies, it’s easy to assume something bigger might be going on — but according to this update, that’s not the case. For now, Caster remains active outside AEW while waiting for his next opportunity to return to TV.

Do you think AEW should bring Max Caster back to TV soon, or is rotating talent off-screen the right move? Let us know your thoughts.
