Matt Riddle was accused of intentionally no-showing Global Wrestling Kingdom’s debut event in the UK, which was a charity event. While he’s already explained himself, it seems Riddle has now gone after the UK fans for sending him death threats.

While speaking on Inside the Ring, Matt Riddle was asked if the death threats he received came from GWK, and he explained that they were from the fans. He said UK fans turned on him once the story about the show being a charity event started spreading.

According to Riddle, he used to love the UK, but he feels the fans there have gotten soft compared to when he was fighting in the UFC. He mocked them as “butter-tooth Brits” who need sunlight and called them weak. He added that many people piled on, criticizing him for supposedly backing out of a charity event, which he brushed off as overblown reactions.

“The fans. I’ll be honest, dude, I used to love the UK. The UK got really soft. You guys are a bunch of b*****, right? There, I said it when I was in the UFC and I’ll say it again. They’re a bunch of butter-tooth Brits and they’re b******. They need to get some sunlight. I don’t know what the deal is, but they’ve all gotten soft. And dude, the amount of people that came for me—‘Oh, I can’t believe you would do that at a charity event,’ blah blah blah. And I’m just like, come on, guys.”

This comes after Matt Riddle already denied claims that he intentionally no-showed the charity event in the UK, as he made it clear the provisions given to him were absolutely unacceptable.

Riddle’s harsh words about UK fans have already upset many people online. With the no-show issue, the charity story, and now his negative remarks about the fanbase, it’s clear his relationship with UK wrestling fans has gotten much worse.
