Matt Riddle Exposes DMs Over UK Charity Event No-Show Accusations

Matt Riddle got a ton of hate after it was claimed he intentionally no-showed at Global Wrestling Kingdom’s debut event in the UK, which was a charity event. However, that wasn’t the case at all and now Riddle has exposed the DMs of the whole ordeal.

Matt Riddle took to his Instagram story and uploaded a screenshot of his DMs, where GWK told Matt Riddle that they had hoped he wouldn’t no-show a charity event, noting that a lot of kids were left disappointed when he didn’t appear.

“We had hope that you wouldn’t just no-show a charity event. There were a lot of disappointed kids who wanted to see you.”

Riddle replied that they hadn’t given him enough time before lying to the public and slandering him. He said his lawyer would be contacting them and that he planned to send the money they were asking for within a few days, unless the slander caused him enough financial damage that he wouldn’t be able to pay.

The King of Bros added that his video already told the truth and pointed out that they had payment options like PayPal and Zelle, questioning why they weren’t responding.

“Yeah, I can, but you really didn’t give me time before you lied to the public and slandered me. My lawyer will be contacting you, and I’ll be sending whatever money you need in the next couple days—unless the slander does enough damage to me financially, then nobody has money. Enjoy my video because it’s the truth. You have PayPal, Zelle, etc. Or are you not gonna respond?”

Riddle then stated that it seemed easier for people to talk badly about him and try to ruin his career rather than accept the money he was offering, saying, “I guess it’s cooler to just talk s*** and try to ruin someone’s career than accept money.”

This comes after Matt Riddle already denied claims that he intentionally no-showed the charity event in the UK. So, Riddle’s leaked messages have only made the conflict with GWK more complicated.

The promotion claims Riddle skipped out on a charity event and disappointed fans, while Riddle argues he was lied about publicly and always planned to pay back what he owed. Therefore, we’ll have to see how the situation will get resolved in the end.
