WWE has been slowly implementing two-night Premium Live Events, which started with WrestleMania and now SummerSlam. While some fans like this idea, it appears Matt Riddle isn’t a fan and has criticized WWE for this move.

While speaking to Rewind Recap Relive, Matt Riddle criticized WWE’s decision to expand events like SummerSlam into a two-night Premium Live Event. He said he was shocked by the move and felt it was reckless. While wishing WWE the best, he pointed out that ticket prices had dropped and there were still a lot of seats to fill.

Riddle explained that even though WWE might make up the numbers, he believed TKO would eventually realize that it’s better to fill a stadium at a lower price than to leave half the seats unsold at higher prices. For him, having a packed stadium creates a stronger atmosphere and leaves fans with memories that last forever, which he felt was more valuable in the long run.

“I’m a little shocked. It’s a two-day affair. This is a two-day affair and that’s reckless. But I wish everybody the best. Wish WWE the best. I know ticket prices had dropped a little bit, but there’s a lot of people. There’s a lot of tickets to sell.

I think they’re going to make the numbers up. I think they’re going to realize—TKO is going to start to realize—that you catch more flies or bees with honey than you do vinegar. And I’d rather sell it at a stadium for this much than not sell half the tickets at that much. Right?

Even if you make a little more money, I’d rather have that stadium full, because at the end of the day, people are going to go back, they’re going to watch it, they’re going to remember it. It’s going to be a moment then, now, and forever. That’s what they talk about.”

Despite what Matt Riddle thinks, WWE could be planning more two-night Premium Live Events following SummerSlam’s success. So, fans can expect to see more two-night events in the future, as it’s clearly going well for them so far.
