Tessa Blanchard’s return to TNA Wrestling has been a hot topic, but former WWE star Matt Hardy believes she deserves a second chance. Blanchard, who made a shocking comeback in December, has been met with mixed reactions due to her controversial past. However, Hardy is urging fans and wrestlers alike to give her an opportunity to prove she’s changed.

Speaking with TV Insider, Hardy weighed in on Blanchard’s return, acknowledging that while he wasn’t around when her backstage issues initially surfaced, he believes in redemption.

“One thing I can say is I wasn’t there when the Tessa Blanchard drama went down. I know when she returned, there were some people saying, ‘I can’t believe she was back.’ I said, ‘You should probably talk to her or listen to her at least.’ She was willing to talk to anyone and hear any grievances.”

Hardy also pointed out that everyone makes mistakes and that both he and his brother Jeff Hardy have benefited from second chances in the industry.

“I just think we live in a society where some people forget people are going to make mistakes. If myself or my brother hadn’t been given second chances or multiple chances, we wouldn’t be here right now. We have to be willing to give someone another chance, especially if they work hard and work on themselves and earn it.”

Blanchard, who was previously released from TNA in 2020 under controversial circumstances, is set for a major match against Jordynne Grace at TNA Genesis. Hardy believes that Blanchard is serious about proving herself and that fans should recognize her efforts to rebuild her career.

“Tessa has been going through a lot. It’s going to be interesting to see how impactful her coming back to TNA into the women’s division truly is.”

Tessa Blanchard’s return to TNA is already stirring up plenty of debate, but Matt Hardy’s message is clear—people deserve second chances, and she’s working to earn hers. Whether fans and wrestlers are willing to fully embrace her comeback remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Blanchard isn’t backing down.

With Blanchard officially back in TNA and under contract, the question remains—will fans and the locker room fully accept her return, or will her past continue to follow her? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
