PCO’s fallout with TNA Wrestling has everyone talking, and Matt Hardy just weighed in on the drama.
The former TNA Digital Media Champion made headlines when he smashed his title belt at GCW and aired his grievances on the mic, following up with even more bold statements on social media. TNA didn’t waste any time scrubbing him from their roster page and even had Steph De Lander “win” the belt in a divorce storyline to erase PCO’s reign entirely.
Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy confirmed that TNA had no idea this was coming and was caught completely off guard by PCO’s actions.
“I didn’t know all of those inner details, I didn’t know his contract was up. I mean, it was my first time working with him,” Hardy said. He recalled their match alongside Jeff Hardy against PCO and Sami Callihan and noted how PCO seemed totally fine before the situation spiraled out of control.
Hardy admitted that while PCO played a big role in TNA’s Montreal success, he doesn’t understand why he would burn bridges so recklessly.
“TNA is doing great events overall. Maybe that’s what he’s referencing, just the fact that he was an older talent, they were taking care of him, they kept him in a pretty good spot. It’s just so strange that you would be willing to throw it all away and take that chance.”
The former Broken One didn’t hold back when addressing the locker room reaction, revealing that PCO’s title-smashing stunt was all anyone could talk about backstage.
CO went full scorched earth on TNA, and now the big question is—was it worth it? Smashing a championship belt, getting scrubbed from the roster, and leaving the locker room shocked isn’t exactly a smooth exit. Will TNA move on without him, or could a return still be on the table? Either way, PCO just rewrote his own story in the wildest way possible.
With PCO’s future up in the air, do you think TNA should take him back, or has he burned his last bridge? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
